On behalf of the Pomorze and Kujawy Fair Centre, I have a pleasure to inform you on the 8th edition of the Fair of Devices and Technologies for Pellet and Briquette Industry “PELLETS-EXPO & BRIQUETTES-EXPO” which will be held on 16 to 18 June 2010 in Bydgoszcz, Poland in the Łuczniczka Hall at Toruńska 59 Str.

Biomass – mainly wood, pellets, briquettes and straw – is extensively purchased by district heating stations, CHPs and power plants, too. The unstable market combined with growing prices of fuel in Poland and all over the world cause that the pellets, briquettes and relevant burning devices gradually become more and more popular both among institutional and individual recipients. The Fair visitors have come basically too look for up-to-date eco-friendly and cost-effective ways of heating. More and more often the occupational power engineering, obligated to produce the so-called green energy, becomes the user of these fuels. The event is also a good opportunity to promote the production of biomass.

As every year, we do our best to create the biggest possible and interesting offer for the visitors and provide the exhibitors with an opportunity to meet target groups of visitors. What is more, we do not forget an educational function of our accompanying events (conferences, workshop, forum).

At their stands different companies will present a wide offer of devices and complete process lines for the production of pellets and briquettes made from sawdust and other materials, state-of-the-art hot water boilers, stoves, fireplaces, pellet-fired burners, automatics and fittings for biomass boiler rooms, drying stoves, crushers, pellets, briquettes, etc.

The PELLETS-EXPO & BRIQUETTES-EXPO are held under the honorary patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Economy, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Marshal of the Provincial Board, Governor of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, Mayor of Bydgoszcz City, President of the Board of Baltic Energy and Conservation Agency and Polish Chamber of Biomass.

For 2010 we plan a rich programme of conferences and trade meetings to accompany the Fair.

On day 1 of the Fair, that is 16 June, there will be a conference entitled "Pellet and briquette market - possibilities of development" organized jointly with Czysta Energia monthly and WORKSHOP "The current situation of the Ukrainian market of briquettes and pellets" (The Centre Ukraine).
